Description ::
DOWSIL 1080 RTV Silicone Sealant is a one part, Neutral (Non Acid) cure Silicone material of
paste like consistency that cures to a rubbery substrate when exposed to moisture in the air.
It is essentially recommended for corrosion sensitive materials where acid - curing types of
sealants cannot be tolerated or where curing odours may be objectionable.

Ease of use - one part, no mixing required, Non slumping, Non shrinking.
Can be applied to overhead or vertical joints.
Does not crack, crumble or dry out in direct Sunlight.
Excellent temperature range -40C to + 150C. Upto 260C for short periods.
Bonds almost all surfaces: Clean metal-including chrome, painted surfaces, glasses, ceramics,
most plastics, non-oily woods, fibrous cement and concrete surfaces.
Chemically stable.
Excellent resistance to weathering, vibration, moisture, ozone under extreme temperatures.

Sealing of lock seams, welds and fasteners in metal fabrication.
Sealing dissimilar metals and corrosion sensitive surfaces like Chrome, Copper and Steel.
Bonding and sealing appliance parts.
As formed-in-place gasket it replaces conventional cork, paper, and rubber gaskets on bear boxes,
differential housing pumps and compressors.
Oven doors in glass-to-metal applications.
Caulking joints in ductwork.
Cement surfaces and metal pipes.
Attaching signs and sign-letters to metals, masonry and concrete surfaces.
