Description
DOWSIL 817 is a one-part, neutral-cure silicone adhesive formulated specifically for interior fixation and bonding of mirrors, coated glass, metal panels, and decorative wall claddings. It cures by reacting with atmospheric moisture to form a high-strength, resilient elastomeric bond that is non-corrosive and safe for mirror backings.

Applications

- General interior industrial bonding where non-corrosive adhesion is required
Important Notes
- Apply adhesive in vertical strips to allow air and moisture circulation for full depth curing; do not apply in closed circular loops.
- Temporary mechanical support (such as double-sided tape) must be used until the adhesive has fully cured.
- Not recommended for structural glazing facades or continuous submerged water immersion.
