Description
DOWSIL 200 Fluid (also designated as PMX-200) is a 100% active, non-reactive polydimethylsiloxane silicone fluid available in a broad viscosity spectrum from 0.65 cSt to 60,000 cSt. It is characterized by high thermal stability, minimal viscosity change across extreme temperature gradients, low surface tension, excellent shear resistance, and inert chemical properties.

Applications
- Release Material: Mold release agent for rubber, plastic parts, metal castings, and polyurethane processing.
- Damping Fluid: Mechanical fluid for dashpots, shock absorbers, instruments, gauges, and vibration damping.
- Lubricant: Boundary lubrication for plastic-on-plastic, elastomeric seals, rubber components, and sliding friction points.
- Dielectric Medium: High-voltage insulating and cooling liquid for capacitors, transformers, and electronic assemblies.
- Polish & Specialty Care: Active additive in car polishes, furniture wax, vinyl dressings, and textile water-repellent finishing.
Important Notes
- Not recommended as a lubricant for metal-to-metal contact where extreme boundary pressure is present (unless combined with suitable anti-wear additives).
- Ensure compatibility when using on painted surfaces, as trace silicone fluid transfers can impair paint adhesion.
