Description
Cem-FIL is an engineered alkali-resistant (AR) glass fiber specifically formulated for the reinforcement of cementitious mortars and concrete matrices. Featuring a high zirconia (ZrO2) content of at least 16.7%, it provides long-term resistance against the high alkalinity of hydrating cement. Cem-FIL prevents early plastic shrinkage cracking, enhances tensile and flexural capacity, and enables the manufacture of lightweight, high-strength Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC/GFRC) architectural elements.

Applications
- Architectural GRC/GFRC: Lightweight exterior wall cladding, facades, sunscreens (jaalis), cornice moldings, and ornamental elements.
- Flooring & Screeds: Anti-crack reinforcement in industrial concrete flooring, wearing screeds, and pavement toppings.
- Precast Infrastructure: Utility drainage channels, cable troughs, water storage tanks, and modular precast elements.
- Plasters & Mortars: Crack-resistant exterior renders, stucco mixes, and structural repair mortars.
Usage & Mixing Guidelines
- For anti-crack flooring/screeds, introduce chopped strands directly into the concrete mixer along with dry aggregates or water to ensure complete strand dispersion.
- For GRC manufacturing, use specialized premix or spray-up techniques using continuous roving strands and calibrated chopper guns.
- Recommended dosage for anti-crack applications is typically 0.6 kg to 1.2 kg per cubic meter of mortar or concrete (depending on engineering specifications).
